I am Polish, but my home is in Scotland
A young Polish Scot has an encouraging message for the people in this country. Zuza has lived most of her life in Scotland but is fiercely proud of her Polish roots and loves the country of her birth while also regarding Scotland as her home. “Times are hard for all of us”, she says, “but life will get better for everyone through friendship and mutual respect. Let’s be kinder to one another, let’s be more understanding and let’s embrace our differences, especially during times like these. At the end of the day, these differences and these people are what makes this country so special.”

Młoda Szkotka pochodzenia polskiego ma przesłanie dla ludzi w tym kraju. Przez większość swojego życia Zuza mieszkała w Szkocji, ale jest niezmiennie dumna ze swoich polskich korzeni i kocha swoją ojczyznę, chociaż to Szkocja jest dla niej domem. – Czasy są trudne dla nas wszystkich – mówi – ale przez wzajemny szacunek i przyjaźń możemy sobie ułatwić życie. Bądźmy dla siebie milsi, bardziej wyrozumiali i zaakceptujmy różnice między nami, zwłaszcza w czasach takich, jak teraz. Ostatecznie to te zmiany i ci ludzie sprawiają, że ten kraj jest wyjątkowy.
